A Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s captain says a plea deal involving a fatal car vs. motorcycle crash last summer appears to be a fair resolution.  In exchange for dismissal of a felony negligient homicide charge, Travis Hartman of Ripon was instead was convicted of two misdemeanors and issued a traffic citation.  Hartman was placed on probation with 60 days in jail and ordered to pay fines and restitution. 11-19-15 republican legislator introduces bill to legalize raw milk sales

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A Republican lawmaker is trying again to legalize raw milk. Representative Dave Murphy of Greenville introduced a bill Wednesday that would allow dairy farmers to sell raw milk and raw milk products such as butter and cheese directly to consumers on the farm where they're produced. The farmers wouldn't need state milk producer licenses or permits.

KOHLER, Wis. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin's gun deer season begins Saturday, but slow license sales and buck-only restrictions could translate to another down year.  According to Department of Natural Resources data, 609,779 hunters bought licenses for the 2014 hunt, the fewest hunters since 1976. Today, members of the State Legislature, including Sen. Rick Gudex (R-Fond du Lac), sent another letter to Judge Lynn Adelman demanding that a determination is made allowing the Highway 23 project to continue.
