11-16-15 fdl street closure

The Fond du Lac Department of Public Works is informing motorists of the closure of Dixie Street between Hickory Street and Morris Street.  The street will be closed Monday, November 16th to allow the paving of the east railroad approach.    Motorists are encouraged to find an alternate route as there will not be a signed detour.

The large Salvation Army Red Kettles, synonymous with the season of giving, have made their first Fond du Lac appearances.   Five of this year's locations started their season Friday at Shopko, Festival Foods, Piggly Wiggly and both Pick N Save locations.   This is the 125th Red Kettle season for the Fond du Lac Salvation Army.   All the kettles will be out November 27 and remain until December 24.
