11-13-15 former president clinton coming to wisconsin for fundraiser

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Former President Bill Clinton is coming to Madison next week to raise money for his wife's presidential campaign.  The former president is scheduled to host a noontime fundraiser for Hillary Rodham Clinton at the Madison Club on Wednesday. The invitation asks for donations of at least $300.   Hillary Clinton was last in Wisconsin in September for a campaign stop in Milwaukee.

The Fond du Lac city council has adopted a 2016 budget at their meeting Wednesday night.   Fond du Lac city manager Joe Moore says the budget significantly reduces the city’s debt and operating expenses are nearly flat.  The budget includes a 2.5 percent increase in the tax rate with a 4.6 percent levy increase.  Moore says budget highlights include a new position in the police department to sift through […]

11-12-15 fdl council approves new firefighters union contract

The Fond du Lac city council has approved a new contract for the firefighters union.  The three year contract through 2018 includes a  three percent wage increase the first two years and a 3.25 percent increase in 2018.  The deal also includes a three percent employee contribution to WRS beginning in 2018 and modifies employee premium contributions to health insurance to match the premium contributions of general city employees.  City […]
