11-11-15 fdl county board approves small compensation increase for committee assignments

11-11-15 school crossing guard in ripon hit by car

A school crossing guard in Ripon was transported the hospital after being hit by a car.  The incident happened Tuesday morning at the intersection of Highway 44 and West Sullivan Drive.  Ripon police say the crossing guard was struck by a car driven by a 17 year old Ripon resident.  The crossing guard was transported to Ripon Medical Center and later transferred to Theda Clark Regional Medical Center in Neenah. The Dodge County Emergency Management director says two train derailments in Wisconsin over the weekend are perfect examples of why its important for first responders to train for these types of situations. 11-11-15 fdl council to consider new firefighter union contract

The Fond du Lac city council will consider a new contract for the firefighters union at their meeting Wednesday night. The three year contract through 2018 includes a  three percent wage increase the first two years and a 3.25 percent increase in 2018.  The deal also includes a three percent employee contribution to WRS (Wisconsin Retirement System)  beginning in 2018 and modifies employee premium contributions to health insurance to match […]

Bail was set at $25,000 cash for a Fond du Lac man accused of sexually assaulting a young girl. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin prison guards who sued the state over a pay issue have dropped their lawsuit.  The attorney for the 14 correction officers, Sally Stix, says it would have been too costly for the individuals to sue separately.
