11-10-15 wisconsin preterm birth rate

For the fifth year in a row Wisconsin has received a “B” grade on the March of Dimes premature birth report card.  State director of the Wisconsin Chapter of the March of Dimes, Jodi Legge, says Wisconsin’s preterm birth rate was 9.2 percent last year even though a new, more accurate measurement tool was used.  Legge says the report card shows a big disaparity between the ethnic groups in Wisconsin […]

11-10-15 edmund fitzgerald-40th anniversary

EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Several museums in Great Lakes states are holding events for the 40th anniversary of the Edmund Fitzgerald sinking.  The 729-foot iron ore carrier went down on November 10th, 1975, in Lake Superior. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The state Senate has passed a bill that would dissolve the state elections board. The GOP measure would dismantle the Government Accountability Board, which oversees elections and enforces ethics law.
