11-5-15 vehicle-pedestrian fatality in sheboygan county

TOWN OF SHERMAN, Wis. (AP) — Sheriff's officials say a pedestrian has been struck and killed on a highway in Sheboygan County.  The person was hit on Highway 57 in the Town of Sherman, near Random Lake about 6 a.m. Wednesday.  Authorities say the person died at the scene. No one else was hurt.

11-4-15 fdl man charged in fatal 2012 crash

A Fond du Lac man involved in a 2012 crash that killed a passenger has been charged.  Thirty seven year old Richard Hartung is charged with homicide by negligient operation of a motor vehicle.  He is free on a $10,000 signature bond.  A preliminary hearing is scheduled for December 18th.  Investigators say Hartung was the driver of a pick-up truck that slammed into a tree on Highway 175 north of […]

11-4-15 inmate who attacked waupun correctional officer transferred to another prison

The Dodge County Sheriff says an inmate who attacked a correctional Officer at the Waupun prison last Friday has been transferred to another correctional institution.  WFDL news was first to report Saturday that the officer was severely beaten by an inmate.  The incident was reported Friday afternoon during second shift.  Sources told  WFDL news the female officer was dragged into a secluded area and physically assaulted.  She was transported to the […]
