MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A federal appeals court panel says a Wisconsin law requiring abortion providers to get hospital admitting privileges is unconstitutional.  A three-judge panel of the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals issued the decision Monday, upholding a federal judge in Madison who struck down the law in March.  Planned Parenthood and Affiliated Medical Services challenged the law in 2013, arguing it would force AMS' Milwaukee clinic to […]

11-24-15 waupun city budget-public hearing

Waupun residents will have an opportunity to comment on a proposed budget.  A public hearing on the budget is scheduled for Tuewsday.  Waupun Finance director, Jerad Oosterhouse says  newly created separate funds will help the city plan better for infrastructure improvements.  Oosterhouse says the proposed tax levy is up about $95,000.  Oosterhouse says one of the major street reconstruction projects in 2016 involves a portion of West Main Street.

11-24-15 convicted fdl child sex offender moving to new location tuesday

A convicted child sex offender is moving to a new location in Fond du lac.  Christopher Hensler was released from prison in July after serving time  for sexually assaulting two teenage girls.    Fond du Lac police say Hensler will be moving to 186 East Johnson Street Tuesday.  Hensler must follow several rules including lifetime GPS monitoring, no contact with the victims, no unsupervised contact with minors and no alcohol or […]
