OSHKOSH, Wis. (AP) — Authorities say a man shot and wounded by law enforcement officers outside the Algoma town hall just west of Oshkosh threatened suicide before he rammed a squad car. Winnebago County Sheriff John Matz told reporters Friday that authorities were looking for 57-year-old Richard L. Klemz after a disturbance at his home in the Town of Algoma on Thursday afternoon. He says Klemz rammed a deputy’s squad car then turned into the town hall parking lot, where officers opened fire. The sheriff says a 911 caller told a dispatcher after the shooting that Klemz was suicidal and would love it if police killed him. But Matz says Klemz, who remained hospitalized Friday, is expected to make a full recovery. The Division of Criminal Investigation is leading the investigation.
