A Milwaukee woman has been charged in the heroin overdose death of a Fond du lac woman. Andrea Griffin made her initial Fond du Lac Court appearance Thursday on charges of first degree reckless homicide and manufacture/delivery of heroin. Bail was set at $20,000 cash. Griffin is accused of supplying heroin that led to the death of Carolyn Tries at a Sheboygan Street residence August 22nd. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for January 7th.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
