A Fond du Lac man convicted of dealing heroin is going to prison. Fond du Lac judge Gary Sharpe sentenced Antwon Brown to 10 years in prison followed by eight years of extended supervision. Brown was convicted of first degree recklessly endangering safety, possession with intent to deliver heroin and cocaine and battery. According to a criminal complaint Brown attacked his ex-girlfriend at an Ellis Street residence December 23rd, 2014 accusing her of stealing drugs. According to the complaint Brown hit the woman, held a knife to her face, and stole jewelry from her purse. He was initially charged with armed robbery.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
