12-31-15 long prison sentence for fdl man convicted of arson

A Fond du Lac man convicted of setting fire to his home is going to prison.    Fond du lac judge Robert Wirtz sentenced 29 year old Colin Habram to 17 years in prison followed by ten years of extended supervision.  Habram earlier pleaded no contest to arson.   Habram was accused of setting  fire to a residence at 410 Ellis Street April 14th  to collect insurance money to buy heroin.   His pet dog died […]

12-31-15 waupun woman accused of stealing from mother-in-law

A 36-year-old Waupun woman is accused of stealing nearly $27,000 from her mother-in-law.  Nicole Grauvogl of Waupun is charged with five felony counts of misappropriate ID info to obtain money. She faces up to 30 years in prison and $50,000 in fines if convicted of all charges.  A criminal complaint says officers responded June 27 to a fraud complaint from a woman who had noticed unusual activity in her checking account. 12-30-15 fdl man sentenced to prison in heroin case

A Fond du Lac man convicted of dealing heroin is going to prison.  Fond du Lac judge Gary Sharpe sentenced Antwon Brown to 10 years in prison followed by eight years of extended supervision.  Brown was convicted of first degree recklessly endangering safety, possession with intent to deliver heroin and cocaine and battery.   According to a criminal complaint Brown attacked his ex-girlfriend at an Ellis Street residence December 23rd,  2014 accusing her of stealing drugs.   According […]

12-30-15 drone causes security breach at waupun prison

A toy drone, apparently received as a Christmas present caused a security breach at the Waupun prison.  Waupun police chief Dale Heeringa says a 32 year old Waupun man called police to report he lost his drone a block to the north of the Waupun Correctional Institution and that it might have gone into the prison over the walls.  After a search of the property the drone was found inside the prison walls.
