12-7-15 fdl area salvation army coats for kids

Hundreds of needy Fond du Lac residents will have warm coats this winter thanks to the generosity of Fond du lac residents and the Salvation Army.  Salvation Army spokeswoman Connie Millard says while the official totals are not in yet, the numbers are close to if not over last year’s total of  24 hundred coats collected for distribution.   The coats will be distributed through six different agencies.

NEENAH, Wis. (AP) — An attorney says the man killed during a standoff at a motorcycle shop in Wisconsin was a hostage who died while fleeing the gunman.  Milwaukee lawyer Cole J. SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (AP) — Prosecutors are recommending five years in prison for a former Sheboygan alderman who reached a plea deal on sex assault charges.  Kevin MatiChek pleaded no contest Friday to several felony charges, including sexually assaulting a minor and bribery.
