MILWAUKEE (AP) — The pioneering Hoard's Dairyman Farm is encountering manure problems and has agreed to drain a 5 million gallon lagoon in hopes of keeping the animal waste from leaking into groundwater.  It's the latest development in a longstanding struggle by the farm to keep its manure from infiltrating the water table beneath a football field-sized concrete containment system.  The farm is just outside Fort Atkinson in Jefferson County. LA CROSSE, Wis. (AP) — A team of Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources staffers have netted a massive walleye in a Jackson County lake.  Biologist Daniel Hatleli and fish technicians Brad Betthauser and Eric Kramer captured and released the whopper in Lake Wazee on December 16th while they were out conducting a sampling survey.  They snapped a photo and recorded the fish at 17.5 pounds and more than 32-inches long. 12-27-15 highway 41 crash

Traffic was tied up for a while on Highway 41 following a one vehicle crash Christmas Day.  The crash happened  shortly before 10am Friday on southbound 41 near County Highway OO near North Fond du Lac.  Nobody was injured when a car blew a tire, went through the median, and was blocking both lanes of traffic.   The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office says the driver is a convicted felony drug offender and fled the scene […]
