12-23-15 state psc approves water rate increase for fdl

The state Public Service Commission says water rates are going up in Fond du Lac starting January.  The PSC last week approved a seven percent increase in water rates per quarter.  The average residential customer in Fond du Lac will be paying $7.71  more or about $125 per quarter for water.  That’s higher than the state average for similar sized water utilities including Oshkosh, Sheboygan, Appleton and Neenah. The higher rates will boost annual revenue […]

12-23-15 ripon man sentenced to prison for hiding brother’s body in barrell

A Ripon man convicted of hiding his brother's body is going to prison.  At a hearing Tuesday Fond du Lac judge Dale English sentenced  Robert Diamentis to three years in prison followed by two years of extended supervision.  Investigators say Diamentis placed the body of his 45 year old brother in a barrell at a residence on Olden Road after his brother died back in February.  The body was discovered in May when sheriff’s deputies […]
