12-21-15 convicted child sex offender released into fdl community

A convicted Fond du Lac sex offender is moving back into the community.  James R. Hansan is being released from prison after serving three years for a Possession of Child Pornography conviction in July of 2012.  He was previously convicted of 1st degree Sexual Assault of Child in Winnebago County in 1984.    Hansan’s victims were 8-year-old and 10-year-old male acquaintances.  Hansan will be moving to 457 Thomas Street on or about […]

12-21-15 oshkosh man won’t face charges in hunting fatality

WAUTOMA, Wis. (AP) — An Oshkosh man who fired the gunshot that killed a hunter in Waushara County won't face any charges.  Investigators concluded the shooting wasn't intentional or criminal.  Fifty six year-old Gregory Welk of Mount Morris was shot just before sunset Nov. 23 while hunting on his land. 12-21-15 prosecutors file motion to intervene in walker probe

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Three prosecutors have filed a motion to intervene in a court case halting a secret investigation into Gov. Scott Walker's recall campaign.  Five district attorneys began investigating whether Walker's campaign illegally coordinated with outside groups in 2012. Christmas will be made a little merrier for many families thanks to the generosity of the Fond du Lac community and Salvation Army.  The 125th annual Fond du Lac Salvation Army Christmas distribution day was held this week at the Fond du Lac County Fairgrounds.   Salvation Army’s Ron Jacobson says 700 families, or more than 2100 individuals were able to receive Christmas gifts and food for the holiday.
