The Fond du Lac city manager says street projects including an intersection near the St. Mary’s Springs Academy will be among the top priorities in 2016. With an expected increase in traffic due to an expansion the school is asking for a modification of the intersection at Highways 23 and K that would limit turning movements. City manager Joe Moore says the key is finding a balance between the safety and convenience of that intersection. “That’s a tough converstation because any solution we’ve discussed degrades convenience,” Moore told WFDL news. Moore says another priority is completing a citywide bicycle loop. He says police are also continuing their efforts to crack down on hard drugs, like heroin. Moore says heading into 2016 the city is in good financial shape.
