Dan Feyen, Republican candidate for Wisconsin’s 18th Senate District, reiterated his strong support for the Second Amendment and Wisconsin’s rich hunting heritage, while meeting with supporters in Fond du Lac.  “President Obama’s executive overreach is just the latest example of how the Democrat Party no longer respects individual’s constitutional right to keep and bear arms,” Feyen said, “Here in Wisconsin Democrats even pushed for legislation that would’ve banned many widely popular sporting rifles,” Feyen added.  Feyen was referring to a bill sponsored by Democrats Lisa Subeck, Terese Berceau, Melissa Sargent and Chris Taylor that would have made it a felony and a $10,000 fine for being in possession of a semiautomatic weapon.  “This is the kind of crazy anti-gun legislation we’ll get if Mark Harris and Madison Democrats take control of the State Senate,” said Feyen, “Thousands of Wisconsites use these firearms for both hunting and personal protection, and they can rest assured that if elected, I’ll always fight for their Second Amendment Rights!”
Feyen, 47, lives in Fond du Lac with his wife Lori. A blue collar printer, Feyen was elected Chairman of the Republican Party of Fond du Lac County in 2007. The Feyen’s have two children, a son who attends UW-Madison and a daughter who attends Fond du Lac High School.
