Wine Around the World, a benefit presented by Fond du Lac Morning Rotary, will take place Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Holiday Inn’s Winnebago Conference Center, 625 W. Rolling Meadows Drive. This 23rd annual community event, Morning Rotary’s largest fundraiser, combines wines and socializing, this year to benefit its Birthday Books program, providing every child in grades K-5 in all Fond du Lac schools a reading level-appropriate gift book on their birthday; Lighting for Literacy, bringing light to community schools and homes in Lusaka, Zambia so children there can read after dark; Morning Rotary’s scholarships and community grants throughout the year. To date, Morning Rotary has given over $750,000 to worthy local and international programs. General Tasting , 7- 9:30 PM, features unlimited tastings of over 100 different wines and beers from around the world; silent auction including fine wines, vacation packages, sports outings, artwork, and much more; 50/50 cash prize raffle; cork pull. A limited number of reservations are available for a very special Reserve Room dining experience, from 5-7PM, immediately preceding the General Tasting. The Reserve Room dinner includes four courses, each expertly paired with hand-selected wines from Italy, this year’s featured country.
