A jury trial is scheduled to get underway this week for a Fond du Lac woman charged in the murder of her husband. Eve Nance is charged with first degree intentional homicide and hiding a corpse. She is accused of shooting her husband Timothy Nance in their Fond du lac home and dumping his body in a wooded area in Milwaukee. His body was found on Thanksgiving Day, 2013.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
