St. Mary’s Springs Academy staff is learning more about a frosty image that is on display this week in a new tower on the school expansion project construction site. Academy president Kelly Norton says on Wednesday a staff member took pictures of the image which looks like the Virgin Mary. Norton says closer inspection shows the image is a thin layer of frost and dust that has formed on plastic backing in the tower window. “There is a plastic backing they (construction crews) put in to contain some of the heat in the space they’re working in right now. That plastic backing is collecting a layer of both frost and dust from the construction below,” Norton told WFDL news. “As a result of that heat traveling through the new tower its formed in the shape of the blessed virgin Mary.” Norton says the image is about 12-15 feet tall.
