Fond du Lac police are asking for the public’s help as they continue their investigation into what they describe as a “suspicious” incident last week. A Theisen Middle School student says a man approached her as she was walking home from school last week. Assistant police chief Steve Thiry says the person of interest told detectives it was a misunderstanding. “We’re unsure at this point, Greg, we’re still investigating the incident. We have identified this person as the man that was reported to have done this,” Thiry told WFDL news. Thiry says police are not sure if it was an attempted child enticement or a simple misunderstanding. The incident happened in the area of 15th and South Main Streets and Thiry says at four o’clock in the afternoon there would have been a lot of traffic. Anyone who may have seen something or who has information about the incident is asked to call police.
