(AP) — The state Senate has approved a bill that would expand situations where authorities could conduct strip searches.  Right now, anyone arrested or detained on suspicion of a crime that isn't a felony can be strip-searched only if he will be held in a jail or prison with other people for at least 12 hours. St. Mary’s Springs Academy staff is learning more about a frosty image that is on display this week  in a new tower on the school expansion project construction site.  Academy president Kelly Norton says on Wednesday a staff membertook pictures of the image which looks like the Virgin Mary.   Norton says closer inspection shows the image is a thin layer of frost and dust that has formed on plastic backing in the tower window. MILWAUKEE (AP) — Catcher Jonathan Lucroy says the Milwaukee Brewers should trade him as the team begins a rebuilding program. The 29-year-old Lucroy says he wants to win, to go to a World Series, and that's not going to happen with the Brewers in the foreseeable future. Lucroy also says he hasn't demanded a trade and wouldn't show up at spring training with a bad attitude.

(AP) — The state Assembly has approved a bipartisan bill that would require child protective agencies adopt formal procedures for investigating reports of abuse and neglect of disabled children. 1-20-16 fdl man charged in domestic incident involving knife

A 22-year-old Fond du Lac man has been arrested after threatening his girlfriend with a knife.  Bail was set at $500 cash for Eddrick Washington on charges of  second-degree recklessly endangering safety, intimidation of a victim, battery and disorderly conduct with use of a dangerous weapon.  The woman told police that Washington held a knife to her throat.  Washington says he handed the knife to his girlfriend and said she should kill him.  A preliminary hearing is […]
