MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Two figures in the "John Doe" investigation into Republican Gov. Scott Walker's recall campaign allege the prosecutor who headed the probe failed to follow a court order. Francis Schmitz was the special prosecutor for the investigation that looked into whether Walker's campaign illegally coordinated with outside conservative groups on issue ads. But the Wisconsin Supreme Court ended the probe in July.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Assembly Speaker Robin Vos says he supports Gov. Scott Walker's college affordability plan and he hopes to pass it before the end of the legislative session. Vos says he hopes to pass the plan this spring. He didn't offer a firmer timeline, but has said in the past he wants the Assembly to wrap up its work by the end of February.

1-19-16 fdl high school students evacuated in bitter cold following fire alarm prank

Students at Fond du lac High School had to spend a few minutes outdoors in the bitter cold, many without a jacket,  after the fire alarm sounded Monday.  The temperature was in the low single digits with windchills of -20 to -25 when the alarm sounded at 12:07pm.  School District health and safety program coordinator Marian Sheridan  says a student apparently pulled a fire alarm as a prank.  Sheridan estimates  the students […]

MILWAUKEE (AP) — A medical examiner's report says subzero weather likely caused the death of a 21-year-old Oshkosh woman found frozen outside a Milwaukee residence after leaving a party.  The body of Elizabeth Luebke was discovered by a passer-by about 9 a.m. Sunday.
