MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin may not have landed the big jackpot in the unprecedented $1.6 billion Powerball drawing, but 13 players in the Badger State will each pocket $50,000.  The Wisconsin Lottery says 13 tickets matched four of five winning numbers and the Powerball. The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office says several arrests for drunken driving were made during the recent Drive Sober or get Pulled Over campaign.  Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Mark Strand says deputies made nine OWI arrests during the crackdown from December 18th to January 3rd.  Strand says there were 203 speeding tickets issued during the enforcement detail.  There were three seatbelt violations, 35 operating after revocation or suspension violations, seven drug arrests and two […]

1-14-16 ice fishermen rescued from lake poygan

Two ice fishermen are rescued after they became stranded on Lake Poygan. Winnebago County Sheriff’s Lt. Joe Kroncke says a 911 call came in around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday from an individual who stated he and another man was stranded about three quarters of a mile off Noffke’s boat ramp. A Ripon man is charged in a robbery at a Kwik Trip in Oshkosh.   45-year-old William Vessell is facing a charge of armed robbery and bail jumping, both as a repeat offender, following a court appearance in Winnebago County Circuit Court Monday.
