MILWAUKEE (AP) — Records show there are eight sites in Wisconsin where potentially dangerous cables that were once used to power U.S. Coast Guard lights could be buried underground.  Such a cable caused an explosion at a crowded Rhode Island beach last summer and injured a woman. 1-10-16 juror stands by verdict in avery case

MILWAUKEE (AP) — A juror involved in the homicide case that spawned the Netflix series "Making a Murderer" says she stands by the verdict. The series covers the convictions of Steven Avery and Brendan Dassey. Avery was found guilty in the slaying of photographer Teresa Halbach. Juror Diane Free tells The Associated Press she's "comfortable with the verdict we reached."

WASHINGTON (AP) — Armchair detectives hoping for a different ending for two convicts featured in "Making a Murderer" will have to look beyond the president for help.  An online White House petition urging President Barack Obama to pardon Steven Avery and Brendan Dassey has nearly 130,000 signatures, assuring an official response. 1-10-16 nfdl man arrested for discharging weapons in mobile home park

A North Fond du Lac man faces multiple charges after firing several rounds from two guns.  Police Chief Darren Pautsch says officers responded to the Gaslight Terrace Mobile Home Park late Thursday night to a report of shots fired.  Pautsch told WFDL news an estimated 12-18 rounds were fired from a rifle and handgun.  Pautsch says he’s relieved nobody was hurt.  Shannon Kavonius  faces charges of recklessly endangering safety and possession of THC.
