2-11-16 cwc’s jump rope for heart sets record

todayFebruary 11, 2016

Each year elementary school students at Central Wisconsin Christian partner with the American Heart Association in their annual “Jump Rope for Health” campaign. This year the students and their supporting donors raised a record $4,104.06 at the January 28th event.  In all, 81 of the elementary students (63% of grades K-5) participated by engaging partnership pledges for the event. Kindergartener Korbyn Wenzel was the top fundraiser, followed by 4th graders Cassidy Ritzema and Sophia Drewa. Jake & Olivia Vander Werff were the top family fundraisers, followed by Ellie & Kaelie Perry.  Funds raised through this event help support efforts of the American Heart Association to educate and research heart-related diseases and defects. Jump Rope for Heart is another community give-back in which CWC students are involved in our broader community.  Established in 1948, Central Wisconsin Christian provides a Christ-centered education to nearly 300 preK-12th grade students in a 30-mile radius of Waupun, including communities in Dodge, Fond du Lac, Columbia, and Green Lake counties. An interdenominational school, families from 44 churches in 17 denominations are a part of the CWC community.
