2-12-16 ripon college political science professor says presidential nominees may be decided before April election

todayFebruary 12, 2016

A Ripon College political science professor says the results of the New Hampshire primary this week didn’t come as a surprise.  Democratic Senator Bernie Sanders and Republican Donald Trump cruised to easy victories.  Professor Marty Farrell says Trump and Sander’s popularity shows how frustrated Americans are with politics in general.  Meanwhile Farrell says its hard to imagine that Wisconsin will play a major role in the nomination process when voters cast ballots April 3rd  because there are so many primaries before then.  “Nevada and South Carolina are going to be big, but then March first there’s just a whole slew of states, over a dozen,”  Farrell told WFDL news.  “A lot of them are in the southeast but there’s others, Minnesota for instance.”
