2-24-16 alzheimer’s bills

A spokesperson for the Alzheimer’s Association of Greater Wisconsin says a package of bills approved by the state Assembly is great news for alzheimers’ patients and their families.  Alzheimer Association Development Director, Sarah Seeger, says  the bills will help people cope with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.    “We at the Alzheimer’s Association could not be more excited,”  Seeger told WFDL news.  The 10 bill package includes  proposals to spend $50,000 for virtual dementia tours,  in which participants where goggles to simulate dementia effects.  The bills also includes money for a pilot program for dementia crisis units, the state’s Alcheimer family and caregiver support programs, training and dementia specialists in rural counties.
