A Fond du lac judge says a Fond du Lac woman convicted of killing her husband can have contact with her sister before she is sentenced in May. Judge Gary Sharpe ruled Tuesday that Eve Nance will be allowed verbal contact with her sister Tina Ewell as long as they don’t discuss the case. Nance was found guilty last month of first degree intentional homicide in the shooting death of her husband Timothy Nance and disposing of his body. A pre sentence investigation has been ordered. Police say Nance and Ewell were together the night of the murder, but Ewell has not been charged with helping her sister dispose of the body.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
