MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis. (AP) — Six people were injured when 25 vehicles crashed in nine separate accidents on a Milwaukee area highway.  Police say sun glare off wet pavement and a slowdown in traffic may have contributed to the crashes about 8 a.m. Tuesday on Highway 41 in suburban Menomonee Falls.  Authorities say the six injured were taken to a hospital with injuries that are not life threatening.  The state […]

2-9-16 winning badger 5 ticket sold in fdl

A Badger 5 ticket sold in Fond du Lac is one of seven winning tickets of the February 5th drawing.  The winners will split the $111,000 jackpot with each receiving about $15,000 before taxes.  The state lottery says the winning ticket was sold at Pick N Save on West Pioneer Road.

PORTAGE, Wis. (AP) — A 24-year-old woman has died after she struck a tree while skiing in south-central Wisconsin.  The Columbia County Sheriff's Office dispatch was notified around 10:30 a.m. Saturday that an injured person needed medical assistance at Cascade Mountain Ski Hill.  The sheriff's office and emergency medical workers responded, along with the ski patrol from Cascade Mountain. MILWAUKEE (AP) — Some Wisconsin utilities predict customers could see their lowest heating bills in years, thanks to low natural gas prices and a mild winter. Customers of Milwaukee-based We Energies can expect savings of around 25 percent compared with last winter.
