2-22-16 three killed in rollover crash in columbia county

Three people died in a one vehicle rollover accident Sunday night in Columbia County.  The crash happened on County Highway P at Whitetail Drive in the Town of Pacific, which is about 3 miles south of Portage.  Rescue personnel discovered that four individuals were trapped in the vehicle.  The Columbia County Sheriff’s Department says the vehicle driver, an 18 year old female, died at the scene.  Two male passengers also […]

2-22-16 winning powerball ticket sold in beaver dam

A $1 million winning Powerball ticket was sold in Beaver Dam. The ticket from Saturday's drawing was sold at Rechek's Food Pride grocery store.  As of Sunday evening, store owner Brett Rechek said the winner had not come forward yet.  Saturday's numbers were 11, 12, 15, 16, 54, and the Powerball was 25.

WALDO, Wis. (AP) — Authorities say a Wisconsin man on parole for possessing explosives may face more charges after an explosion at his home this weekend.  The Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office says deputies were called about an explosion at the home in Waldo late Saturday afternoon. 2-22-16 dodge county sheriff says tougher owi laws is a “step in the right direction”

The Dodge County Sheriff says he believes a bill imposing tougher penalties on repeat drunken drivers is a step in the right direction.  The Assembly passed a bill last week that would make a fourth offense a felony regardless of when the charge is filed. 2-22-16 two vehicle crash-fdl

Six people were transported to the hospital, two of them critically injured, following a two vehicle crash in Fond du lac.   Rescue personnel were called to the scene on North Main Street near Dutch’s Trading Post Saturday night.  Police say two SUVs collided.  A portion of North Main between Arndt and Follet Streets was closed for about an hour.  Police are continuing their investigation.
