3-18-16 fdl animal shelter caring for puppies abandoned in trash can

The Fond du Lac Animal Shelter is caring for three puppies found in a trash can in Milwaukee.  The Pit Bull-mix puppies were found by a passerby and taken to a Milwaukee Animal Shelter and later transferred to Fond du Lac.  Fond du lac Animal Shelter manager, Renee Webb, says Badger Rescue Animal Transport Services or BRATS brought the newborn pups to Fond du Lac.  A spokesperson for BRATS says the service was started to reduce […]

3-18-16 second person charged in heroin overdose death of fdl county man

A second person has been charged in connection with the heroin overdose death of a Fond du Lac County man.  Javon Wilson of Milwaukee made his initial Fond du Lac court appearance Thursday on charges of reckless homicide and manufacture-delivery of heroin.  Bail was set at $50,000 cash.  A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 25th.   Last week, 23 year old Angelique Kannenberg , was charged with the same offenses.  Wilson is accused of […]

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Additional deaths have been linked to an outbreak of a bloodstream infection as the number of cases grows in Wisconsin.  The state Department of Health Services says 17 people with infections caused by Elizabethkingia bacteria have died since the outbreak began in November.
