The two owners of Dublin’s Irish Pub and Dublin’s in West Bend will be hosting a St. Patrick's Day Tent Party in both locations on Saturday, March 19th and donating 50% of the event's proceeds to the local organizations. 3-18-16 waupun boys win

Congratulations to the Waupun Warriors boys basketball team.  Waupun beat Prairie du Chien 55-43 in semi-final action at the state tournament in Madison Thursday.  The Warriors will play in the state championship game Saturday afternoon at the Kohl Center.  Its Waupun’s first trip to the state basketball tournament in 89 years.  School was cancelled Thursday in Waupun so students and staff could go to the game.

3-18-16 senate approves ban on plastic bag ban

The state senate has passed a bill  that would create a ban on plastic bag bans.  The bill earlier cleared the Assembly and is headed to the governor’s desk.  The measure would prohibit communities from banning plastic bags.   Elizabeth Ward with the Wisconsin Sierra Club-John Muir Chapter says communities should be able able to control bags and other containers that are becoming a source of pollution.  Ward says plastic bags end up […]

3-17-16 high winds topple semi on interstate 41

No serious injuries reported when high winds apparently toppled a semi on Interstate 41 in Fond du Lac.  Sheriff’s captain Rick Olig says the incident happened Wednesday afternoon in the northbound lanes of 41 near the Fond du Lac-Winnebago County line. Olig says wind gusts in excess of 40 and 50 miles an hour knocked down trees and tree branches throughout the county.

Fond du Lac County ranked 31st out of 72 counties for health outcomes and 16th for health factors, according to the seventh annual County Health Rankings, released today by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) and the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute (UWPHI). 3-17-16 another death linked to bacterial blood infection

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Another death has been linked to an outbreak of a bloodstream infection in Wisconsin. The Wisconsin Department of Health Services says 16 people with suspected cases caused by Elizabethkingia bacteria have died since the outbreak began in November.
