The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after an 18-year-old Campbellsport man apparently shot and killed himself after Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputies pursued his vehicle. According to a press release the man had been posting suicidal statements on social media and texting acquaintances for several hours prior to the incident. A Fond du Lac man convicted of arson nearly a decade ago is going back to prison. Jamie Schwartz was convicted of arson in 2007 and sentenced to 18 months in prison and two years of extended supervision. He was also placed on probation for six years.
