Two area communities are listed among the top 50 safest cities in Wisconsin according to a new report. BackgroundChecks.org combined data from recent FBI crime reports, natural language analysis, social media sentiment analysis and their own research to create the rankings. According to the report Beaver Dam is ranked the 10th safest city in Wisconsin. The report says the violent crime rate in Beaver Dam is 49.3, and the chance of being involved in a property crime is 3%. Waupun is number 24 on the list. The violent crime rate in Waupun is 79.1, and the chance of being involved in a property crime is just 1.4%. According to the report the five safest cities in Wisconsin are Muskego, Cedarburg, Waunakee, Oconomowoc and Menominee Falls. Fond du Lac is not on the list.
