A Sheboygan Falls man has been charged in connection with a disturbance in Fond du Lac involving a weapon. Forty year old Richard Trgovec is charged with first degree reckless endangerment, negligient use of a weapon and disorderly conduct. Assistant police chief Steve Klein says Trgovec is accused of threatening people with a gun following an argument. “It was a verbal altercation that escalated,” Klein told WFDL news. “He (Trgovec) went out to a vehicle retrieved a weapon and came back to the front of the residence and was pointing the gun at the window. There were people inside the residence causing concern for them.”

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
