4-21-16 fundraiser this weekend for family of oakfield girl who needs kidney transplant

todayApril 20, 2016

Oakfield Elementary School teacher Jodi Schmidt says when she got the idea to donate one of her kidneys to help a student there was never a doubt in her mind.   Schmidt learned recently that she was a match to donate a kidney to help eight year old Natasha Fuller lead a normal life.  Natasha was born with a kidney disease and doctors say she desparately needs a transplant.   She says the school has been tremendously supportive of what she is doing.  The surgeries are scheduled to take place April 27th at Froedert Hospital and Children’s Hospital.  The Schmidt’s have also organized a fundraiser to help pay for the medical and travel expenses for Natasha and her family. The event will be held this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The Roadhouse on Highway 67 in Dundee, near Campbellsport.
