4-15-16 senators johnson and baldwin holding heroin hearing

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Sens. Ron Johnson and Tammy Baldwin are holding a hearing on heroin use Friday in Pewaukee. Johnson, a Republican, says the rise of heroin-related deaths in Wisconsin is directly related to the insecurity of U.S. borders. "Drugs flow freely through our borders,"  Johnson told AM 1170 WFDL's Between the Lines program.

4-15-16 wisconsin unemployment rate

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — New preliminary data shows Wisconsin's unemployment rate dropped slightly in March.  The state Department of Workforce Development released a report Thursday that put the unemployment rate last month at 4.5 percent, down from 4.6 percent in February.  The national unemployment rate was 5 percent in March, up from 4.9 percent in February.  The report found the state added 11,500 nonfarm jobs in March. 4-14-16 fdl police called to report of despondent woman at agnesian health shoppe

A Fond du Lac area woman is in custody following an incident at the Agnesian HealthCare Health Shoppe on Camelot Drive.   Shortly after 3pm Thursday police received a call of a despondent woman at the Center possibly armed with a gun. Several squad cars responded and police quickly took the woman into custody without further incident.  Nobody was injured.

4-14-16 mock tornado drill thursday
