4-13-16 old rocket grenade round found in basement of fdl home

Fond du lac police blocked off several streets near the city-county government center Tuesday evening after a resident reported finding what appeared to be an old rocket grenade in their basement.  Fond du Lac assistant police chief Steve Klein says a man was cleaning out his basement when he found the military ordnance.  The man put the device in his vehicle and drove to the government center and called police. 4-12-16 funeral services held for fdl high school guidance counselor

Funeral services were held Monday for a Fond du Lac High School guidance counselor killed in a traffic crash last week while driving to work.  Services were held Monday in Cedar Grove for Matt Heinen.  Heinen was killed last Thursday morning when he lost control of his car on slippery Highway 23 and was hit by an oncoming vehicle.
