4-12-16 ripon man gets prison for oshkosh convenience store robbery

A Ripon man is going to prison time after robbing an Oshkosh convenience store.  Forty five year-old William M. 4-10-16 fdl duplex fire

Nobody was injured in a fire that damaged a Fond du lac duplex over the weekend. Shortly before 3am Sunday firefighters were called to 29-31 N. National Ave to find a fire on the rear of the 2nd floor deck which extended inside the structure.   Both residents were able to escape the duplex.  The fire was quickly extinguished but not before it caused some structural damage and moderate smoke damage throughout. 4-10-16 armed robbery suspect arrested following chase on i-41

4-10-16 madison man sentenced in dodge county shooting

A Madison man convicted in a shooting incident in Dodge County has been placed on probation.  Dodge County Circuit judge, John Stork, ordered an imposed and stayed seven year prison sentence for 22 year old Anthony McCaskill.  The judge ordered five years probation with a conditional year and three months in the county jail.  McCaskill was convicted of  Discharging a Firearm from a Vehicle, Endangering Safety by Reckless Use of a Firearm and misdemeanor Carrying […]

4-10-16 court strikes down wisconsin right to work law as unconstitutional

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A Wisconsin court has struck down the state's right-to-work law, calling it unconstitutional. The ruling was issued Friday in a lawsuit filed by local unions. Wisconsin Attorney General Brad Schimel promised to appeal the order. The lawsuit argues that the law is an unconstitutional seizure of union property because it requires unions to extend benefits to workers who don't pay dues.

4-10-16 walker announces new positions to help fight bloodstream infection

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Governor Scott Walker has announced the creation of nine new positions at the state Department of Health Services to combat a rare bloodstream infection. There have been 57 confirmed cases of the Elizabethkingia bloodstream infection in Wisconsin, more than any other state. Eighteen people who have been diagnosed with the infection have died in Wisconsin.
