Fond du Lac School District students and staff are mourning the loss of a high school guidance counselor. Matt Heinen was killed in a car crash while driving to work Thursday morning. Heinen lost control of his car on slippery Highway 23 near Whispering Springs Boulevard and veered into the oncoming lane of traffic striking an SUV. He died at the scene.
