For those of you who enjoy grooving to a variety of musical styles, put your dancing shoes on and come to Fond du Lac High School’s small gym for the Adult Prom where the musical stylings of The Downtowners will be featured at this evening of entertainment. If you enjoy the sound of Big Band, Swing, 50s – 60s Rock, Jazz, Blues, Polka and several other musical styles, the place to be on May 20 from 8:00 – 11:00 p.m. Tickets are $7.00 and available at Fond du Lac High School’s main office, Wegner’s Office Supply, or at the door the night of the event. This event, which is hosted by the freshmen and sophomore classes, is certain to provide an enjoyable evening for listeners and dancers alike. A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
