INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump is singing praises to Ted Cruz, who’s now dropped out of the raises after losing the Indiana GOP primary. Trump last night called Cruz “one hell of a competitor.” Although John Kasich still remains in the race, Trump is all but certain to lead the Republican Party into the fall presidential campaign. Meanwhile it was a narrow victory for Democrat Bernie Sanders in the Indiana primary. Although the Vermont senator has cultivated a deeply loyal following, he would still need superdelegates in the Democratic party to get behind him if he were to become the nominee instead of front-runner Hillary Clinton.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
