Republican U.S. Senator Ron Johnson says while he doesn’t agree with everything Donald Trump has to say, he’s a better alternative than Hilary Clinton. In an exclusive interview on AM 1170’s Between the Lines program, Johnson says he will support Trump if he is the nominee. Johnson says he’s not surprised at Trump’s popularity. “I’m honestly not shocked. I understand exactly the frustration the American public and folks here in Wisconsin have for the federal government.”

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
