In it’s 66th year, the Fond du Lac Women’s Chorus will perform it’s Spring Concert at the historic old St. Patrick’s Church building on the corner of Follett and North Main in Fond du Lac on Sunday May 15 at 2pm. The concert is titled “Day and Night” and will feature beautiful classic songs reminiscent to the title, such as, “It’s a Good day”, “When Morning Comes,” “Startdust”, ”Tonight,” “In the Still of the Night”, “It’s a Grand Night for Singing” and more. The Chorus is under the direction of Krist Bartelt with Georgene Antos accompanying. A free will offering will be taken.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
