Fond du Lac police are notifying residents about the change of address for two convicted child sex offenders. Patrick McAuly is temporarily living at 50 W. Follett Street in the city of Fond du Lac. McAuly spent time in prison for sexually assaulting two teenage girls, ages 17 and 18. His extended supervision expired in 2013. Jacob Schwendimann is currently living at 197 N. Main Street. Schwendimann has multiple child sex offenses dating back to when he was 14 years old. He is required to comply with the Sex Offender Registry until 2023.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
