TOWN OF WILSON, Wis. (AP) — Authorities say a person has died after being hit on an interstate in Sheboygan County. The sheriff’s department says a pedestrian was killed shortly before 1 a.m. on Interstate 43 near Highway 28 in the Town of Wilson. The northbound interstate lanes were closed temporarily. Officials haven’t said why the victim was on the interstate.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
