5-7-16 new k9 officer added to fdl police force

The City of Fond du Lac Police Department has a new K9 officer.  Officer Kyle Hoefer will introduce his new K9 partner  “Brüx” next week.  The pair completed their four week intensive training program on Friday.  Their first regular patrol shift together as a K9 team will be  Tuesday, May 10th.  K9 “Brüx” is a 19 month old German Shepard and is trained as a Dual Purpose Patrol Dog; trained in […]

5-6-16 doc secretary gives corrections officers raise

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The head of Wisconsin's prisons plans to hand out millions of dollars in raises in hopes of boosting recruiting and retention.  Department of Corrections Secretary Jon Litscher announced Thursday that beginning June 26 correctional officers, sergeants and youth counselors will receive 80 cents more an hour. 5-6-16 waupun prison inmate charged with attempted homicide for attack on correctional officer

An inmate has been charged with attempted homicide for allegedly attacking a correctional officer at a Waupun prison last fall.  Forty-six year old Bobby Kimble made his initial Dodge County Circuit Court appearance Wednesday.  He’s charged with attempted first degree intentional homicide, false imprisonment, and battery by prisoners-all as a repeat offender.  A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for June 23rd.   Kimble is accused of attacking the 26 year old […]

5-6-16 peregrine falcons nesting on uw-oshkosh building

Four peregrine falcon chicks have hatched this week in a nesting box on the UW Oshkosh campus.  UW Oshkosh geology professor Maureen Muldoon says the nest is located on top of the Guenhagen Conference Center on campus.  Muldoon says the falcons have been nesting at that location for the past several years.  You can follow the chicks by logging onto the UW-Oshkosh webpage and viewing the webcam.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A prominent sportsmen's group wants Gov.
