A Fond du Lac man convicted in the heroin overdose death of another Fond du Lac man is going to prison.  Fond du lac judge Gary Sharpe sentenced  22 year old Jeffery Hiley to seven years in prison followed by eight years of extended supervision.  Hiley earlier  pleaded no contest to  first degree reckless homicide as a repeat offender.  A charge of  manufacture-delivery of heroin was dismissed.  Assistant police chief Steve Klein says […]

Two Fond du Lac residents have completed their segments in a cross country relay to raise money for multiple sclerosis research.  Melissa Schmidt and Carlee Schmitz were participating in the MS Run US…a relay that started in Los Angelas, ending in New York.  Melissa Schmidt ran the first leg last month starting at the Pacific Ocean.  Carly Schmitz started April 24th in Nevada…finishing this week, more than 240 miles later in Utah.  "Pure […]

TOWN OF MAPLE GROVE, Wis. (AP) — Federal aviation officials say a pilot has died in the crash of a helicopter in Manitowoc County.  The Federal Aviation Administration says the MD-369E chopper crashed near Reedsville Wednesday morning.
