5-23-16 city of plymouth awarded state grant for downtown building rehab project

The City of Plymouth has been awarded a $100,000 state grant to assist in a project to renovate a historic building in downtown Plymouth.  The project will consist of bringing a building, built in 1875, back to its historic form. A cheese-themed store and heritage center will be established on the first floor of the building, and apartments on the second floor.

5-23-16 governor’s office releases names of state supreme court candidates

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Gov. Scott Walker's office has released the names of 10 applicants looking to replace retiring Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice David Prosser. They are attorneys Andrew Brown, Claude Covelli, Paul Scoptur and Jim Troupis; state appellate judges Mark Gundrum, Brian Hagedorn and Thomas Hruz; Jefferson County Circuit Judge Randy Koschnick; Marinette County Circuit Judge James Morrison; and Wisconsin Public Service Commission Chairwoman Ellen Nowak.

5-20-16 aaa survey predicts increased memorial day holiday travel

5-20-16 dodge county sheriff’s office will step up patrol when violent sex offenders move into town of lomira home

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A group of Assembly Republicans have asked the leaders of the Legislature's budget committee to approve funding for a public education campaign on Wisconsin's voter photo identification law.  The Government Accountability Board has asked the Joint Finance Committee for $250,000 to re-start education efforts the board dropped in 2012 after a legal challenge blocked the law.
